This has been a busy weekend.  Yesterday was my Dads 40th birthday party and my grandparents from Oklahoma even came! Today was my Pinewood Derby for scouts. My car didn't place, but I had a good time getting my car ready with my Mom and Dad. It was voted "Most Futuristic." Later at my basketball game my team played hard and won the game!

Philippians 3:13-14 says "One thing I do forgetting what lies behind but straining for forward to what lies ahead. I press on towards to the goal of the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Winning a trophy is fun, but Christians need to remember the prize of  Heaven is better.

Tonight was our den meeting for Cub Scouts and I received some belt loops. I like scouts because of Cub Haunted and the Pinewood Derby.  We have our big race this Saturday.  Here is a picture of my car that my mom helped me paint last night. I hope it does well!


I've been learning about the Scout Law.  Do you know God's law?  Psalms 119:33 says "Teach me Lord the meaning of your statutes and I will always keep them."

I worked on my power point Sunday afternoon.  It is about "One Body" from Ephesians 4.  What do you think about it? This is the first one I have ever made. It was hard work, but I'm glad I did it.

Today I worked on my bulletin board. I hope you like it.
Ephesians 4:6 says, "One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (ESV)

Tonight I wrote my article for mass media for Lads to Leaders.  I hope you like it.

     Have you ever played the video game Minecraft? It’s a game about building anything you want, mining, crafting, battling, and exploring. I enjoy playing with my friends. One thing you
should always remember is to never dig straight down in the ground. If you do this one thing, your character could fall in lava and you could lose all your gear and items.
 
     Philippians 3:13 says “But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead.” One thing we shouldn’t do is sin. We can beat sin by praying and asking for
forgiveness. Then we can forget our sins and live a better life for God. We also need to remember the words of Colossians 3:23.  It says “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not
for men.” 

     One thing should always think about is going to Heaven just like Paul said Philippians 3:13. We can live a Christian life by obeying His word and doing good. Then we can think about what Paul said 2nd Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 

     So what about you? What one thing are you thinking about?

Today was my first basketball game. I had a lot of fun. My grandmother and cousin came to watch with my parents. My team name is the Magic and we wear blue and white uniforms. My sister came to cheer and did great!
