This Sunday begins at our
Gospel Meeting at
Sylvan Springs Church of Christ. You should come with us! We meet at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday and have lunch after 11:30. Then we meet again at 1 p.m. and Monday - Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Hebrews 10:24 says
" And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and
good works, not staying away from our worship meetings , as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near." (HCSB)

2nd Timothy 3:15 says " Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."
Yesterday I took the Pearls and Bible Bowl test for Lads to Leaders. It was hard work, but I think I did well. I learned a lot about the theme this year of "One."
Convention is just 38 days away. I can't wait!

Tomorrow is "church eat church" at Sylvan Springs. After our Bible classes at 9:30 and morning service at 10:20, we have lunch together. Then we worship at 1 p.m. You should join us!
Spending time with my church family make me thinks of Col 3:16.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
Next week, we do it again with our Gospel Meeting!

Today at church we practiced some questions for the Pearls test for Lads to Leaders. We used a program called Kahoot.it. It was fun! I had to answer questions on my Dad's cell phone. I think I will do well on the real test next week.
My Bible class teacher Mr. Jared has been teaching from the
Pearls book the past few months. I'm glad he's my teacher.

Tonight at church I led the song Higher Ground. I think I will lead this at convention in April. Last year I led I Know That My Redeemer Lives. I was a finalist. I love leading singing.
Ephesians 5:19 reminds us that we should sing with our hearts. Do you like to sing to God?

We have been studying Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians in Bible class since May. These are the books used for Lads to Leaders this year. Last night we practiced some questions with a game called Plickers.
At home, I played a game called "Rags to Riches." Here is the one for
Colossians. Here is one for
Philippians. And here is one for
Galatians.
I take the written test later this month. I hope I do well!

On Sunday I practiced my speech at church. This is my 4th year to do a speech at convention. Last year I got 2nd place!
This year my speech is about
one gospel. Galatians 1:6-7 says "I am astonished that you are quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel - not that there is another
one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ." (ESV)
